NWA ANARCHY TV TAPING 11-29 REPORT by LARRY GOODMAN

NWA Anarchy ran their annual holiday fundraiser Saturday night in Cornelia. This year, the event doubled as a television taping.

Attendance at the NWA Arena was a very hot 150.

Suffice to say things are very much on track to produce a great show at Season’s Beating on December 20.

Prior to the show, the fans drew names to determine the order of entry for the Mega Rumble later in the show. The winner was to earn a title shot of his choosing. The 16th and final entrant was left as a mystery.

(1) Azrael defeated Bo Newsome in 3:50 to advance in the Young Lion’s Contender Tournament. Newsome got dumped and kicked by the Reverend. Newsome answered with a huracanrana for two. Azrael lit him up with a pair of his vaunted chops. Newsome’s chest was beet red. Newsome made a nice flying comeback, but Azrael busted out the Ted Bundy (same as Matt Morgan’s Hellevator, although Azrael was the originator of the move). Good match.

We saw Jeremy Vain and Seth Delay on the big screen. Delay said they had always been buddies. He figured jealousy must have gotten the best of Vain at the last taping. Vain pawned his bad behavior off on his tag team partner, Rob Adonis being hot-headed. Vain said it was a fact that he and Adonis were going to win the Anarchy tag titles. Delay said it was fate that the Dynamic Duo (Delay & Chad Parham) would become champions. As Vain started to walk away, Delay pulled brass knucks out of his pocket (apparently, he never leave home without them), but Rob Adonis showed up to prevent Delay from doing the deed.

(2) In a non-title match, Talent & Money (JT Talent & Drew Pendleton III) beat the NWA Anarchy Tag Team Champions New Wave (Steven Walters & Derrick Driver) in 7:48. Vain & Adonis came out to do color commentary. Strong pop for New Wave. Interference by Talent set Walters up as the babyface-in-peril. Talent’s facial expressions made this segment of match quite entertaining. His offense wasn’t bad either. Walter used the momentum off a huracanrana to make the hot tag. It quickly broke down to four-way action. New Wave hit a great combo move - a pendulum (Walters)/guillotine leg drop (Driver). Vain & Adonis got on the apron and ate a double dropkick from New Wave. Talent capitalized on the interference with a suplex facebuster thingy on Driver for the pin. This was the strong match New Wave needed to have. They’re back in the good graces of the fans in Cornelia.

As a result, Talent and Money were deemed to be the number one contenders for the tag titles. The booking here is doing a stellar job of making the tag team division super competitive.

(3) Kyle Mattews beat Andrew Alexander in 7:39 to advance in the Young Lion’s Contender Tournament. A match between babyface partners. A decent enough match, but the fans got impatient with the clean wrestling. They went back forth with each able to get no more than a one count. Alexander went to the floor and got the “chicken” chant. Then the near falls. Matthews used Jimmy Rave’s Dusk ‘Til Dawn to set up a pinning combination. Matthews thwarted a superplex attempt. Alexander took the usual back bump off the ropes, but climbed right back up and hit the superplex. It was different and the crowd responded to it. Finish saw Andrews roll through on Matthews’ huracanrana for a pin attempt. Matthews reversed it for the pin. Alexander showed disappointment but ended up hugging Matthews and raising his hand.

Attorney/Agent Jeff G. Bailey cut another outstanding promo. He said Kimo left referee Wes Grissom a bloody mess because of Ace Rockwell. He accused Rockwell of hiding behind NWA Anarchy owner Jerry Palmer’s “abuse of power” in suspending Kimo. Bailey was incensed that Shatter should have to prove himself worthy of inclusion in the heavyweight title match at Season’s Beatings (along with Shadow Jackson and Champion Iceberg). He said Judas had never beaten Shatter, while Shatter had multiple wins over Judas.

(4) Mikal Judas vs. Shatter (with Jeff G. Bailey) went to a double count out in 3:37. This was awesome. It totally belonged in a major league ring. For intensity, drama, and skill level, this match was better than most of the stuff I see on TNA or WWE. Shatter attacked Judas before he made it into the ring and gave him an extended beating outside the ring, like 3 minutes worth. Shatter whipped Judas hard into the announcer’s booth, dug a chair into his throat, and gave him a suplex on the ramp. The crowd was chanting for Judas to do something. Inside the ring, Judas appeared to have nothing left. Shatter went for his PTSD powerbomb, and out of the blue, Judas hit a towering Alabama Slam. Judas took over. Shatter escaped from the choke slam and hit a spinebuster for a near fall. Judas suplexed Shatter into the turnbuckles for a near fall. They pounded each other at ringside and the ref calling for the bell didn’t slow them down. The fight continued until Judas clotheslined Shatter out of the ring.

Palmer came out. It got really heated between him and Bailey. Palmer said he didn’t want to get in Bailey’s business, but the business in this building was his business. Palmer threatened another suspension. Palmer said this wasn’t the BCS, and there were no computers. Judas and Shatter would settle it in a rematch on December 6. Palmer said there was only one man big and bad enough to officiate. The building erupted for the entrance of Shadow Jackson. Jackson said he didn’t care who won, because at Season’s Beatings, the people’s champion was going to become the NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Champion.

The Judas/Shatter rematch has the potential to be Anarchy's best singles match of the year.

Palmer explained that this year’s event was in support of “Joey’s Toybox,” a charity started by 9-year old cancer patient Joey Doolittle to make toys available to children receiving treatment at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta-Scottish Rite and Egelston. They showed the story that Atlanta Fox 5 aired on Doolittle and "Joey's Toy Box" on the big screen. Palmer mentioned that Doolittle, who died on July 4 of this year, was the grand nephew of Jimmy Valiant. “The Church of Southern Wrestling” responded with over $500 and 5 large bags of toys.

(5) Austin Creed won a 16 man Mega Rumble to win a future shot at the title of his choosing (total time of 35:22). Due to the random drawing for order of entrance, Bill Behrens had to book this one on the fly, and he did a hell of a job. The heat held up amazingly well for such a long match. Slim J started with Bobby Moore. Moore rolled out to the floor as #3 TK Cross entered to do battle with J. Dueling chants with the Bleacher Bums for Cross and the rest of the crowd for J. Cross was the first one out as #4 Billy Buck entered and made a beeline for his arch enemy Moore. #5 was Hayden Young. Great pop. Moore took his lumps and bailed again. The faces did a three way submission spot – J put the Roach Clip on Young and Buck put J in a Boston crab. #6 was Tyler Smith and he was an animal. Moore got bold with his partner out to join him. Smith eliminated Buck. #7 was Caleb Konley. The babyfaces used the numbers advantage to do a number on Smith. #8 was Seth Delay. He paired off with J. #9 was Rockwell he cleaned house on the heels. Adrian Hawkins was #10, and with 8 guys in there, it was getting clusterish. #11 was Alan Funk make his Anarchy inring debut. He looked to be in phenomenal shape. Funk had something for everyone - an equal opportunity ass kicker. He turned Funkster complete with a Hogan leg drop on Delay. The heels ganged up on Funk to eliminate him, as #12 entered. #13 was Chip Day. He came out flying. There was a comical sequence where Day whiffed on one kick and unintentionally kicked Moseley in the man region. They did an 8-way tower of doom spot with Day taking the superplex. It was a spectacle and the crowd ate it up. #14 Jay Clinton entered with all 8 men down and selling. He tossed Day out and got “sissy” heat. #15 naturally had to be Don Matthews. Clinton’s eyes got big. He tried to eliminate himself, but Young grabbed his leg. Matthews gave Clinton the obligatory Clothesline from Hell and tossed him out. Clinton’s back took a shot on the edge of the ring apron that had to suck. Matthews eliminated Moseley with the BFK. The Technicians teamed up to eliminate Matthews.

The mystery final entrant was Austin Creed. The pop was as big as any babyface in Anarchy has ever gotten. He’s thicker and more muscular than when he left for TNA. Creed teamed with Hayden Young for some Awesome Attraction reunion action. They ran through some of their signature spots. Great stuff that the crowd was going nuts for. Bailey came out to distract Rockwell, who got dumped by Moore. Hawkins and Young went out together. The Techs tried to toss Creed and J, but they did skin-the-cats in stereo, and eliminated both of the Technicians. That left J and Creed as the last two men. It started as a stand off. Creed overpowered J with a shoulder block, the knocked him silly with a lariat, then hit the somersault lariat. They ended up battling on the apron. Both fell to the floor with ref Brent Wiley ruling that J’s feet touched first.

Truitt Fields was introduced as the longest reigning television champion in Arena history. To quote Jerry Lawler, Fields has muscles in places most people don’t even have places. Fields challenged Anarchy Heavyweight Champion, Iceberg to a title match. Fields said he would sweeten the deal by putting hit title up against Iceberg’s title.

The Reverend came out with Azrael. He said Fields was a dumb jock, but not as dumb as he looked. The Rev claimed Iceberg was on vacation because he hadn’t finished his Thanksgiving dinner yet. He offered up Azrael for TV title match. Fields accepted.

(6) Truitt Fields pinned Azrael (with the Reverend) to retain the NWA Anarchy Television Championship in 8:34. Fields brought Azrael in the hard way. The champion’s advantage was short-lived, however, as Azrael side stepped his spear attempt and Fields tumbled out to the floor. This was goods stuff. As per usual, Izzy’s offense looked wicked stiff, and Fields’ comebacks showed real fire. Azrael hit a superplex and lit Fields up with chops, but Fields treated them as a wake up call. Fields roared back with a barrage of high impact offense. Seeing his “Son of Satan” in deep trouble, the Rev tossed The Staff of Righteousness into the ring and distracted ref Ken Wallace. But the Rev's best laid plans failed to materialize. Fields pinned Azrael clean with the Killing Fields.

NOTES: Besides Judas vs. Shatter with Jackson as special referee, the December 6 taping will have Melissa Coates vs. Crystal Rose, and the semifinals of the Young Lion’s Contender Tournament with Azrael, Matthews, Young and Hawkins…Patrick Bentley and Adams Roberts were in the house…Kareem Abdul Jamar, Chris King, Anthony Henry, Chris Mayne, Skirra Corvus and Dustin Michaels were all invited back for future bookings after their appearances last night on the IWA Mid-South show in Joliet, Il…Bailey and Kimo worked the 11/21 CWA television taping in Columbia, the one that had the problem with the booking of Samoa Joe.

NWA Anarchy TV Report by Ca$hFlowX
Episode 142
November 3, 2008

WRESTLING: (n.) \’res-ling\ A sport of contest in which two individuals face off in unarmed combat.
ANARCHY: (n.) \an-ar-key\ (1) A state of lawlessness due to absence of authority. (2) A complete lack of order.
What happens when you mix the two together? NWA-Anarchy!

- Welcome to NWA Anarchy, this is PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING~! Last week on NWA Anarchy TV, Jeremy Vain reminded Mr. Rob Adonis owed him a personal favor and snatched up the TV title shot at NWA Anarchy TV Champion Truitt Fields. Unfortunately, Vain’s chicanery and buffoonery backfired. What an imbecile. In the main event, the Dynamic Duo pulled out the win against Ace Rockwell & Luke Hawx with the old one-two Bojangle’s chicken combo, a pair of shiny brass knux and a piledriver. Also, the Technicians earned a title shot at NWA Anarchy Tag Team Champions the New Wave by really not winning a #1 contenders battle royal in what was one of the worst and very few booking debacles in recent Anarchy history. This week, the New Wave defends the tag straps against the Technicians and Shadow Jackson challenges the Altar of Human Mutilation for the NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Title.

- Well, well, well, look who we have here… agent/attorney Jeff G. Bailey, Kimo, and Shatter have invaded the premises. If you think Bailey cuts awesome promos, you ought to hear his impersonation of ER, but that’s a story I’ll save for another day. Bailey doesn’t plan to scream and bellyache about the New Wave’s miracle upset of the NWA Elite. Yep, tonight is the luckiest night in the New Wave’s career because the NWA Elite will not be seeking a rematch. However, the most important thing in the NWA Arena is being a member of the NWA Elite. For all the semi-literates in NWA Anarchy, the NWA Elite has produced three world champions: Ron Killings (R-Truth), AJ Styles, and Abyss. Yeah, that drew a pop from the teeny boppers. The next WWE World Champion will be Shatter. The fans immediately pop for the heel. Ok, something is not right here. Shouldn’t the fans be despising Bailey for shoving his evil greatness down their throats? According to Bailey, there are three men responsible for Shatter’s success: Shatter, Kimo and Bailey. With Shatter gone, this leaves Kimo the slot to capture gold. Kimo will achieve a new level of success by making examples of anyone who crosses his path. To demonstrate Kimo’s dominance, Bailey challenges any member of the locker room to last 5 minutes with Kimo.

1. “The Weird Sense of Kim Chi” Kimo destroyed “The Weird Sense of Lettuce & Taco Meat” Don Juan.

Why did you place yourself in such a predicament Don Juan? Please head back for the Texas border Don Juan because this man you’re fighting is the Butcher of Pyongyang and the personal bodyguard of Kim Jong-Il. Juan starts out by outmaneuvering Kimo and mocking Bailey. Kimo immediately exacts revenge with a brutal German suplex. After this encounter, Don Juan’s harem of beautiful women has forsaken him because Kimo just stripped his manhood from him. One clothesline and Information Extractor later, Kimo obliterates Don Juan. Afterwards, Ace Rockwell heads out to challenge Kimo and he goes ballistic. Shatter has to hold Kimo back from attacking Rockwell, who was helping Don Juan to the back. Maybe Barack Obama should nominate Jeff G Bailey for Secretary of State and Kimo as personal overseer of Club Gitmo.

2. “The 2 Year Veteran” Adrian Hawkins pinned “Do or Die” Chip Day to retain the last entry in the Young Lion’s Mega-Rumble.

Hawkins is the last entrant in the Mega-Rumble to determine the #1 contender to the NWA Anarchy Young Lions Title. In doing so, Slim J slipped down to the first entrant. Both men dazzle the audience with their agility early on. The tide turns for worse when Hawkins flies through the middle and top ropes straight to the arena floor. Day takes advantage with a somersault plancha. After commercial, Hawkins counters a rana with a sitout powerbomb for a near count. Day fights back by eluding Hawkins and nails a senton. He climbs to the High Rent District and Hawkins nimbly eludes a 450 splash. Hawkins pins Day cleanly with the La Magistral cradle aka bandito. Crowd definitely was not into the match.

- After commercial, Slim J confronts Hawkins about experience. Slim J admits he wants to win every title in NWA Anarchy and he will win the Lion’s Cup Title as well. The Lion’s Cup isn’t about experience, it is about heart something that Hawkins doesn’t have, BUSTA~!

3. The New Wave (Derrick Driver & Steven Walters) defeated the Technicians (Tyler Smith & Bob E) to retain the NWA Anarchy Tag Team Titles.

The Technicians prematch attack backfires and the New Wave immediately gains control. After commercial, Driver pulls Smith’s beard to maintain the advantage. Driver makes the mistake of mounting the top rope in the Technician’s corner and Bob E interrupts his flight path. Stupid move on the champ’s part. The Technicians dismantle Driver for the next several minutes. Bob E mistakenly mounts the top turnbuckle only to crash upon impact. This provides the opportunity for Stevens to receive the hot tag and clean house. After some shenanigans, the New Wave wins cleanly with the Unskinny Teeny Bopper. Decent match for what it was.

- The “Master of Ceremonial Disaster” Greg Hunter is out to interview Brody Ray Chase & “She’s a Man” Melissa Coates. According to Chase, there is unbridled lust in everyone’s eyes, including the women in the audience. Chase brags about being on national TV and winning titles everywhere he has wrestled, but fails to mention getting his ass kicked on TBS WCWSN back in the 80’s. :oHe admits that NWA Owner Jerry Palmer can’t take his eyes off of Coates. As soon as Coates speaks, Palmer heads out. Palmer scorns Chase and advises Coates to leave the old womanizer. Chase threatens the Boss, Hunter and the crowd. A disgusted Chase grabs Coates by the arm before heading to the back. What a jerk.

4. “The People’s Champion” Shadow Jackson defeated “the Altar of Human Mutilation” Iceberg w/”the Reverend” Dan Wilson & the Staff of Righteousness via disqualification, but Iceberg retains the NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Title.

This is the first recorded meeting between these two behemoths in NWA Anarchy. The crowd lets out a deafening roar and proudly chants “Shadowmania.” Despite Shadow’s size, he proves his 200 pound weight disadvantage is negligible by shoulderblocking Iceberg to the floor. After commercial, the almighty Reverend jabs the Staff of Righteousness into Shadow’s throat. Iceberg maintains control by brutalizing Shadow with a clothesline and slapping on a chinlock. Iceberg follows up with a bodyslam, the Thigh Drop of Doom, and a head scissors. Shadow is in danger of losing consciousness via a putrid smell from Iceberg’s legs. Yikes! The crowd continues to rally behind Shadow as Iceberg administers more punishment. Shadow finally answers Iceberg with a desperation German suplex for a two count. Iceberg fights back with a headbutt and an elbow drop for a two count. Iceberg prepares to finish off Shadow with Ground Xero, but as Wilson lets out a blood curdling scream, Professional Wrestling’s Only Serial Killer splats himself. Shadow employs Japanese psychology by delivering the Ground Xero splash for a 2½ count. Iceberg takes exception and employs Japanese psychology himself with the 10-31 spinebuster for a 2½ count. With the referee’s back turned, Wilson distracts Shadow by smashing him with the Staff. Though Shadow easily no sells it, it is enough of a distraction for Iceberg to club him from behind. Iceberg sets up on the middle turnbuckle, but the lights flicker! Could it be Mikael Judas? Shadow tackles Iceberg in midair which prompts Azreal to jump him from behind. The lights go out again and this time it is Judas! Judas chokeslams Azreal straight to Hades and stares Shadow down. Shadow looks for the stick and asks about not cheating. Shadow challenges Iceberg’s manhood and his girlfriends. Shadow thanks Judas for saving him and offers a handshake. Shadow’s major weakness is long match and this was too long for him. Kudos to the producer for good editing to make the match better on TV than live. Decent way to close Anarchy, but not the homerun that needed to be delivered.

Last week was eventful on NWA Anarchy TV when Adrian Hawkins successfully defended his last entry into this week’s Young Lion’s Mega Rumble. Afterwards, Slim J paid him a special visit and reminded Hawkins he wants every title in NWA Anarchy, BUSTAH~! Iceberg walks away still the NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Champion when Azreal attacked Shadow Jackson prompting the referee to call for an immediate disqualification. Mikael Judas headed out to save and shook hands with Shadow. Shadow & Judas will join forces to battle the Devil’s Rejects on next week’s episode. This week, the Hollywood Brunettes tango with the Technicians and Young’s Lions will face-off in a Mega-Rumble. Slim J is the first entrant and Hawkins is the last. The last two remaining contestants will face-off at Fright Night ’08.

- We begin this week with John “the Body” Johnson interviewing Jeremy Vain and his bodyguard Mr. Rob Adonis. Cameras follow Johnson, Vain needs a camera and so he has the opportunity to speak on this. Vain lambastes Mr. Adonis for every mishap since purchasing his services as a bodyguard. Vain needs Mr. Adonis to focus on what makes him a champion. Mr. Adonis reminds Vain that he stole his title shot and then screwed it up. Agreed. Vain scorns Mr. Adonis by calling him a “nobody.” Ouch, that was low. Vain is here to show the way Mr. Adonis is supposed to find opportunity and shows him how. Vain confronts the New Wave, grabs their precious gold and calls them girls. Walters appreciates the complement, but Vain & Mr. Adonis delivers a denada via beatdown. They do in 10 seconds what the NWA Elite or the Devil’s Rejects couldn’t do in 10 minutes; beat the living piss out of the tag champions. Kareem Abdul Jamar is like “Hey, dude,” and Mr. Adonis wipes him out. Mr. Adonis tosses around members of the locker room like Paper-Mache. John Johnson is the only one left standing after this debacle. Mr. Adonis commandeers both members to the ring, but the New Wave fights back. Mr. Adonis saves Vain from the Unskinny Bop and destroys Walters with the A-Plex. Driver receives likewise. Hopefully, Walters ordered a bottle of Excedrin 3 after taking a head smash in the locker room. This has to be one of the most awesome moments in recent Anarchy history.

1. JT Talent pinned Malachi.

Malachi pops the crowd early on by manhandling Talent. Johnson says Talent & Money is better without Sex because Caleb Konley is nothing but a breeder. Talent takes over with a German release suplex and maintains the advantage with dastardly heel tactics. Talent humbles Malachi with the Iron Sheik’s approval. Malachi finally bounces back with a desperation clothesline and goes on a rampage. Malachi catches Talent with a STO backbreaker and a legsweep combo for a near fall. Talent contemplates cheating and does so by pulling referee Jacob Ashworth in the way to avoid a corner splash. Reminding himself that you should always follow the Bobby Heenan philosophy of always cheating, Talent places his feet on the ropes for a quick pinfall victory.

2. The Technicians (Bob E & Tyler Smith) defeated the Hollywood Brunettes (“the Wizard of Aaaaaaaahs” Andrew Alexander & “2 Hot 4 TV” Kyle Matthews) via submission.

The Technicians gain an early measure of revenge by launching a premeditated attack and posting Alexander’s shoulder before guardrail smashing his arm. In the ring, Matthews fights off both the Technicians with a double coconut. The Technicians take over when Smith pulls the referee in the way and Hill boomerangs Matthews. For those of you who remember the thousands of failed gimmicks that Vince McMahon has perpetrated over the past years, chalk one up for Outback Jack whose finishing maneuver was the Boomerang, a clothesline to the back of the head. Matthews runs to his corner, but doesn’t realize an injured Alexander can’t help him. The Technicians deliver a torturous beating to Matthews with the referees continuing to tend to Alexander’s injured arm. After commercial, Alexander cringes beside the announcer’s booth. Both Technicians continue to taunt Alexander with Matthews contemplating hopping on the apron. Matthews does so with one arm behind his back. Alexander makes the tag to the One Armed Bandit and cleans house on the Technicians. The Technicians end the torture by snapping Alexander’s shoulder on the top rope, Smith executing a fall away knee to the shoulder and slapping on a Fujiwara armbar. Alexander smartly taps. The Technicians have certainly learned from their esteemed mentor Todd Sexton.

- We return to the ring with Brody Ray Chase sans Melissa Coates. Chase says Palmer is jealous of everything the Stray Cat is, has and the woman that attracts his eyes. That’s a bold statement. Chase left the tender tiny morsel to be enjoyed by a true man at home. Chase reveals his masterminded plan to wrestle two women. He demands two good looking women who know their role. He draws several laughs from the female contingent. Chase believes the females actually proclaim him a man. What a conceited not a very nice person.

3. “The Great American Scream Machine” Brody Ray Chase defeated Christy “Tina” Turner & Crystal Rose in an intergender handicap match.

Turner kicks off the festivities by mule kicking Chase because he had the audacity to go froggy style on her. Chase blathers until Turner slaps the taste out of his mouth. Turner outmuscles and humiliates Chase with a monkey flip. After commercial, Chase slaps Turner’s mush and hiptosses her into ring. Chase reveals further devious pyramid schemes by luring Rose to work over his arm. She arm twists Chase, but he responds by slapping her posterior. Rose takes exception and eats a bodyslam. What a decrepit individual Chase is. The fans chant that “Brody sucks,” but that is only half of the story, if you know what I mean. Chase finishes off Rose with the pump handle neckbreaker. He hiptosses Turner into the ring and clotheslines her. Oh, that’s not the end of it. Chase destroys Turner with an Awesome bomb and covers both women for the victory, something that Chase knows a lot about. What a miserable poor sac of camel dung Chase is. A rightfully disgusted Palmer stares down through Chase from the entrance ramp.

4. Slim J and Adrian Hawkins were the two remaining participants in the Mega-Rumble and will face-off at Fright Night to determine inaugural Young Lion’s champion.

ENTRY #1: Slim J
ENTRY #2: Anthony Henry
ENTRY #3: Darkness. Dan Wilson heads out to observe Slim J from ringside.
ENTRY #4: “Kurtis Blow’s Favorite Wrestler” Kareem Abdul-Jamar
ENTRY #5: Bo Newsome
ELIMINATION #1: Jamar
ELIMINATION #2: Darkness
ELIMINATION #3: Henry via rare naked choke by Slim J.
ENTRY #6: Chip Day
ENTRY #7: Kyle Matthews
ENTRY #8: Andrew Alexander is unable to compete.
ENTRY #9: Matt “Sex” Sells
ELIMINATION #4: Newsome
ELIMINATION #5: Matthews
ELIMINATION #6: Day
ENTRY #10: Ryan Michaels
ENTRY #11: TK Kross
ELIMINATION #7: Michaels
ELIMINATION #8: Sells
ENTRY #12: Adrian Hawkins
ELIMINATION #9: Kross by Hawkins.
Afterwards, Hawkins pummels Slim J from behind and delivers a huge Ligerbomb. Where has this part out of Hawkins the past two years? To think about it, he looks more like Bret Hart every time he appears on TV.

OVERALL: There were plenty of good segments and left little to nitpick.

11/28 NWA Prime Time: A Live Report by Larry Goodman

Johnny Swinger made a shocking debut for NWA Prime Time Pro Wrestling Friday night in Columbus.

Until the moment a masked Swinger hit the ring to join the invaders from Great Championship Wrestling, he was the biggest name star on the GCW roster, a position he had held since his departure from WWE.

It’s a hell of angle. For several weeks, Sonny Siaki had been wreaking havoc in Prime Time, while still claiming to work for their bitter rival, GCW. Last week, Siaki grabbed Tracy Taylor as a hostage and threatened to break her neck. Promoter Billy Roper agreed to close down the company if David Young didn’t beat Siaki in a match. Siaki agreed to go back across the river to GCW if he lost. Well, Siaki lost but he lied about leaving, and now Swinger and Zero Tolerance have joined the invasion.

Whether Swinger coming in proves to be a good business decision for Prime Time is another thing altogether. Only time and the depth of Roper’s pocketbook will tell. It was almost certainly a good business decision for GCW to jettison Swinger, as he was no doubt the highest paid guy on their roster.

PTPW drew a disappointing 140 to the Prime Time Arena for the ultimate high stakes stipulation. What more can you put up than the very existence of your company? The subpar crowd is more, I think, a sign of changing times than a fault of the angle. Sadly, the days when holiday weekends meant big crowds for wrestling have come and gone. If anything, holiday weekends appear to be a negative at this point.

The crowd was on fire for the main event and all the hoopla afterwards. However, they never fully turned up the heat until then, as a lackluster undercard gave them little reason to do so. A certain group of knowledgeable regular attendees said it was only overall bad show since David Young started booking.

(1) Simon Sermon & Thomas Britain beat the Iceberg & Deathrow to retain the PTWP Tag Team Championship in 9:15. Being that it was matchup of heel teams, the heat was less than optimal. The Brits had title belts wrapped in British flags, the deal being they planned to take the titles across the river (to GCW) when their contacts expired after next Friday. Sermon was his usual entertaining self. The prospect of locking up with Iceberg had him chewing his nails. The monsters decimated Britain. Sermon had to made save after save. But the problems between Iceberg and Deathrow came to a head Iceberg “accidentally” got clocked by Deathrow. Iceberg retaliated with a lariat, Sermon pounced on top of Deathrow for the three count. Sermon then loaded Britain onto his back and ran out with the belts. Funny stuff.

Iceberg briefly took possession of both the NWA Anarchy Heavyweight belt and Deathrow’s PTPW Heavyweight belt over his head.

(2) Frankie Valentine beat Josh Stone in 9:30. The crowd popped for Valentine’s entrance. He can go face of heel. Match wasn’t bad, but it was babyface vs. babyface, and the crowd wasn’t feeling it once the bell rang. After a missed slingshot move by Valentine, Stone went to work on his shoulder. Valentine made the comeback and after wrestling clean the entire match, Stone raked the eyes. Why now? Finish saw Valentine block a superplex and pin Stone with a super sunset flip.

Sermon carried Britain back out to the ring. Sermon told Roper he had just witnessed an example of the Brits’ domination. Britain was still out of it. He crawled across the ring to grab onto to Roper’s pant leg. Sermon said they were “going across the river” in one more week. With that, Sermon carried Britain and the title belts to the back.

(3) Genni Wright beat Tracy Taylor in 9:10. This match had the wrong kind of heat. Wright was wearing the worst possible gear for her body type, and she got ripped to shreds by a decidedly sadistic element in the crowd. It didn’t help that she also stinks as a wrestler. It was originally booked as a tag (see notes below), where they may have been able to hide Wright’s shortcomings. Just maybe. Wright heeled. The crowd got behind Tracy, who hit a powerslam to spark a comeback. Wright pinned Tracy using the tights. You’ve got to be freaking kidding me. Not only is Tracy a regular, she had already pinned two of their male wrestlers. No way this girl beats her.

Intermission.

(4) Killer Instinct (Mike Stratus & Jake Slater) beat Chip Day & Kyle Matthews in 9:40. The undersized babyface team came out flying. It was the most into the show this crowd had been all night. They worked on the leg of Stratus and then the arm of Slater. Matthews took the heat. Stratus was good here. He’s a solid heel – a stocky grizzled veteran type. Mathews went through the legs to make the hot tag. Day hit a double missile dropkick and cleaned house, but ended up on the wrong end of a slice ‘n dice legdrop by Stratus.

(5) Micah Taylor beat Travis Sawyer (with Tony Lucassio) in 13:18. This match had the best true wrestling content, and that was 90% Micah. Make no mistake, the guy is a great wrestler. Every hold applied in a realistic manner. The heat was so-so. I don’t think the fans saw Sawyer as a legitimate threat to beat one of Prime Time’s top guys. Sawyer needs to get in better shape if he’s going to make a deal out of being Buzz’s son. I was a huge mark for Sawyer when he was the man in Georgia Championship Wrestling. They talk about his feud with Tommy Rich, but with all due respect, none of those matches could hold a candle to his chain match with Roddy Piper in the Omni. But I digress. Lucassio got “shut up” heat on the mic. Taylor did some stellar work on Sawyer’s leg, the highlight being the surfboard leglock. With Lucassio providing the distraction, Sawyer delivered a knee to the back that sent Micah through the ropes. Sawyer worked over Micah’s back. Ref Rob Russo caught Sawyer using the ropes on a pin attempt. Micah then kicked out of Sawyer’s powerslam. The crowd revved up for Micah’s comeback. Sawyer did a rhino like charge into the turnbuckles and Micah rolled him up. Sawyer did the sore loser back jumping thing after the match.

(6) Bulldog Raines beat Colt Derringer in a cowbell on a bullrope match (12:34). It was OK, but there was something missing, mainly, the expected brutality. The cowbell barley figured into the match. The first man to touch all four corners in succession would be the winner. Raines controlled the early portion of the match via inventive use of the rope. He got three touches before being cut of by Derringer’s rope lariat. Derringer gave Raines a few cowbell shots to the back. Derringer hit a middle rope legdrop and they did the deal where both men touch 3 corners. They got into a tug of war as Derringer strained to make the fourth corner. They needed a shorter rope to make it believable. Raines speared Derringer. Raines hit a Blue Thunder Bomb, an impressive move on man Derringer’s size that appeared to suck out all the energy he had. Raines put the rope around Derringer’s neck and dragged him to three corners with both men touching. A not so monumental struggle ensued and Raines managed to make the fourth touch.

Postmatch: Derringer bludgeoned Raines with the cowbell and hung him over the top rope. Day, Matthews and Valentine came out to make the save.

Intermission number two. Micah and Tracy Taylor out for autographs and so forth.

Before the main event, Roper called for quiet, so he could explain the gravity of the situation. He thanked the fans for their support in case this was it for PTPW.

(7) David Young beat Sonny Siaki via DQ when his masked accomplice, revealed as Zero Tolerance, interfered at 11 minutes. The heat was off the hook for this match. Siaki entered through a side door carrying a 2 x 4. He knocked a heckler on his ass and decked a security guard. Siaki was accompanied by Tolerance in a ski mask. Ringside fans that attended GCW shows recognized him. There aren’t many dudes that size walking around. This action quickly spilled outside the ring. Roper got in a cheap shot on Siaki. Young sent Siaki flying through a section of ringside seats. Young tried to come off the apron with a huracanrana, and Siaki slammed his head into a chair. Siaki clocked Young with a fire extinguisher and got a two count on the floor. Somebody made it falls count anywhere, I guess. Inside the ring, Young kicked out of a DDT on the chair. Young kicked out. Siaki choked Young with his GCW hoodie. The crowd was pleading for Young to make a comeback. Siaki superkicked Young, and he kicked out again.

Young hit a tornado kick and then the spinebuster, The masked dude attacked ref Rob Russo for the DQ.

Tolerance gave Young a full nelson slam and took off his mask. Chris Stevens ran out to save his partner (why wasn’t he at ringside watching Young’s back?), but he was beaten down, and both members of Bad Company got laid out with flapjacks. Another second masked man in a leather jacket came in through the back door with a baseball bat. By this time, Roper had jumped into the ring, and the masked guy jabbed him in the gut with the baseball bat. Masked man #2 revealed himself to be Swinger. The carnage continued with Young, Stevens, Roper and Russo all left laying. Siaki said GCW would be back next week. Swinger said they were taking over. The invaders exited through the back door of the arena. Young addressed the invaders while he was still down in the ring. “Don’t walk away, cuz I’m still breathing.” Young said the GCW guys would have to kill him. Young said Bad Company would be back and they were bringing hell with them.

That sets up Bad Company (Young & Stevens & Bull Buchanan) vs. Siaki & Swinger & Tolerance for December 5.

In an appalling lack of attention to detail, Roper conducted the show closing raffle. The rumbling in the distance wasn’t thunder; it was the sound of countless old school bookers rolling in their graves. I’m not saying Roper didn’t sell the beating, because he definitely did, but his recuperative powers were superior to the wrestlers. Either do the raffle at intermission, or better yet, have some poor grief-stricken PTPW employee do it, while Roper is being carried to the back. It’s a given that today’s fans don’t buy this stuff as real. Doing things the proper way may not sell tickets, but there’s still a right way and a wrong way to do things.

NOTES: The women’s tag match originally advertised, Taylor & Daffney vs. Wright & April O’Neil was pared down to a singles match…Day is known as “Do or Die” Chip Day. He has Mountain Dew gear and guzzles a can of that nasty stuff on his way to the ring…The second intermission came at 10pm. The late start (7:55 advertised as 7:30) is problematic if you’re going to do two intermissions. They got away with doing a three hour show and not burning out the crowd this time, but it’s a dangerous habit to get into…Talent currently performing for PTPW that formerly worked for GCW in Phenix City include Siaki, Swinger, Tolerance, Young, Stevens, the Taylors and Bull Buchanan

NWA Prime Time Pro Wrestling returns to the Prime Time Arena in Columbus on December 5. Advertised: Bad Company (David Young & Chris Stevens & Bull Buchanan) vs. GCW Invaders (Sonny Siaki & Johnny Swinger & Zero Tolerance), Bulldog Raines vs. Shaun Tempers, Sermon & Britain defend the tag titles against Frankie Valentine & Ace Rockwell, Iceberg & Deathrow vs. Killer Instinct (Mike Stratus & Jake Slater), Chip Day & El Loco vs. Micah & Tracy Taylor, The Wrestler vs. Colt Derringer.

Lumberjack Strap Match for SoCal Pro Heavyweight Championship: "Radiant" Jason Redondo (c) with TNT vs. SoCal Crazy

Due to the aftermath of the SoCal Pro Heavyweight Title Match at "Redemption," Commissioner Durwood Murray has signed a rematch putting Jason Redondo, current SoCal Pro Heavyweight Champion, facing SoCal Crazy, the challenger, in a Lumberjack Strap Match. The rules are simple for a Lumberjack Strap Match, as both Redondo and SoCal Crazy will select a group of wrestlers to surround the ring and the wrestlers for each respective side will be equipped with straps to ensure that neither Redondo nor SoCal attempt to leave the ring. SoCal Crazy would have entered "New Year's Retribution '09" as the new SoCal Pro Heavyweight Champion, but Scott Lost and Joey Ryan, The Elite members, had caused Redondo a disqualification in the match by interfering to attack SoCal Crazy.

Proceeding SoCal Crazy's match against Redondo, Troy Stone, SoCal Pro Ring Announcer, had attempted to get comments from SoCal Crazy, but Stone was not able to get any comments since The Elite attacked SoCal Crazy in the parking lot. No other news has been announced about the incident with The Elite and SoCal Crazy, but the incident basically was about proving a point by showing that SoCal Crazy will never wear gold around his waist with The Elite being around in SoCal Pro. Can the Lumberjack Strap Match benefit SoCal Crazy in becoming the new SoCal Pro Heavyweight Champion, or will SoCal Pro fans have to see The Radiant One continue another year as being our "hero" and champion? On January 10, 2009, you can find out which wrestler will leave Oceanside with his arms raised and announced as heavyweight champion of SoCal Pro Wrestling.

Johnny Goodtime vs. "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce
with C. Edward Vander Pyle

Johnny Goodtime appears to be a problem for The Elite ever since the faction was formed at the "Untitled" show on August, 16, 2008 with Scott Lost and Adam Pearce helping their Elite member and current SoCal Pro Heavyweight Champion, Jason Redondo, retain the title. Months following Goodtime's main event match for the SoCal Pro Heavyweight Title, he went on to face members of The Elite, Scott Lost and Joey Ryan in singles and tag team matches. Moving forward to "New Year's Retribution '09," Goodtime will have an opportunity to face another member of The Elite and former two-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Adam Pearce. SoCal Pro fans last saw Pearce defend the NWA World Heavyweight Title against the debuting Shane Haste on SoCal Pro's October 11th show and Pearce once again was able to retain the famous 10 pounds of gold. Two weeks later in Mexico City, Mexico, Blue Demon Jr. defeated Pearce to become the new NWA World Heavyweight Champion.

Pearce still believes that he was screwed out of the NWA World Heavyweight Title in Blue Demon Jr.'s own backyard and Blue Demon Jr. does not deserve to be the champion. Pearce has a lot of frustration on his mind from losing the NWA World Heavyweight Title and he will be prepared to unleash angst on Goodtime at SoCal Pro's upcoming show. Goodtime knows what Pearce is capable of doing in the ring to guarantee a victory and prove The Elite's superiority over anyone in SoCal Pro. Can Johnny Goodtime take down the former two-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion, or will Adam Pearce use Goodtime as a stepping-stone to reclaim gold?

SoCal Pro Tag Team Championship: Cool Imagery (Hector Canales and Ricky Mandel) (c) vs. Anchors Away (David E. Jones and Ryan Stone)

The 2008 feud between Cool Imagery and The Ballard Brothers came to end at "Redemption" with Cool Imagery making history by finally defeating The Ballard Brothers to become the first ever SoCal Pro Tag Team Champions. On Saturday, January 10, 2009, Cool Imagery will have the responsibility to defend their newly won titles against the petty officers of Anchors Away. The last time that SoCal Pro fans saw Anchors Away in tag team action was back on December 1, 2007, as Johnny Goodtime and Evan Jelik defeated the duo. Since then, Anchors Away have been actively wrestling for various promotions such as LLII, NWPW, and EWF until David E. Jones, Anchors Away member, was deployed out to sea for about 5 months. Due to Jones' real life deployment in the navy, the team of Anchors Away was temporarily put on hold and Ryan Stone had to settle for being a wrestler in singles competition.

As a singles wrestler, Stone had his fair share of wins and losses, but he was more determined in getting back to being a tag team wrestler and possibly putting gold around his waist. Stone's determination has become a reality and he will have an opportunity to capture the SoCal Pro Tag Team Titles alongside his tag team partner, David E. Jones, who recently returned from his naval deployment. 2009 will be a brand new year for everyone including Cool Imagery, the current SoCal Pro Tag Team Champions, and Anchors Away, who will be entering the Oceanside Boys and Girls Club as the challengers. Will Cool Imagery's reign as SoCal Pro Tag Team Champions continue after "New Year's Retribution" or will we see Anchors Away leave Oceanside announced as the new SoCal Pro Tag Team Champions? Find out at "New Year's Retribution '09" presented by SoCal Pro and the NWA.

Super Clash '08 Rematch: "Rock 'N' Roll Rebel Soul" Johnny Yuma vs. Chimaera

Johnny Yuma and Chimaera's first encounter against each other occurred at September's "Super Clash" show with Chimaera upending the debuting Johnny Yuma. Following the two wrestlers' match, Chimaera only made matters worse by displaying his new aggressive attitude with Yuma getting disrespected and spitted on. Yuma knows that this incident was all in the past, but he does not want to forgive and forget about all that Chimaera has done to him as well as Evan Jelik and Shane Haste these past months.

Yuma has already made a new year's resolution or rather a new year's retribution for 2009 and it will be to rock and roll over Chimaera. Commissioner Durwood Murray has approved Yuma's rematch clause against Chimaera and the two wrestlers will once again find themselves on opposite sides of the squared circle to do battle. Can Johnny Yuma's new year's retribution be met by evening up the score with Chimaera, or will Chimaera kick off 2009 with another victory in order to become a top contender for the SoCal Pro Heavyweight Title?

The Ballard Brothers (Shane and Shannon Ballard) vs. Aerial Star and Locura

The Ballard Brothers will be looking forward to some serious retribution, as they will wrestle the newly formed team of Aerial Star and Locura in a tag team attraction. At the moment, The Ballard Brothers are not the team to be bothered since they lost the vacant SoCal Pro Tag Team Titles to Cool Imagery in a Best of 3 Series Challenge. The Ballard Brothers will have to start over again by defeating any tag team put before them in hopes of earning a number one contenders spot for the SoCal Pro Tag Team Titles. Aerial Star and Locura will have the important task in being The Ballard Brothers' first opponents to start off the brand new year of 2009.

SoCal Pro fans have not seen Aerial Star and Locura wrestle as a tag team, but the SoCal Pro fans were able to see Aerial Star and Locura wrestle in singles competition on past SoCal Pro shows. Aerial Star made his SoCal Pro debut at "Collision Course II" when he defeated Matt Twizted and Locura was last seen at "Super Clash '08" being defeated in a controversial manner by Anchors Away member, Ryan Stone. "New Year's Retribution '09" will be the first time that the SoCal Pro fans get to witness these two teams battle for a chance to compete against the SoCal Pro Tag Team Champions in the near future. Can the young high-flyers, Aerial Star and Locura, upset the veteran tag team, or will The Ballard Brothers gain retribution after suffering a huge tag team title loss in November?

Thank you,
SoCal Pro Wrestling

NWA ANARCHY TV TAPING REPORT 11-15-08

A crowd that numbered right at 200 professional wrestling fans gathered at the Church of Southern Wrestling for the Fright Night 2008 follow up card, which also happened to be an international television taping for NWA Anarchy Wrestling. The event kicked off with NWA Anarchy Owner Jerry Palmer addressing the arena faithful regarding a variety of topics including a special Anarchy show on Novemver 29. He discussed upcoming events, highlighted by Season's Beatings 2008 which will take place on December 20th. This was all capped off by the promised "reintroduction" of Melissa Coates. As Jerry had promised, the next time she showed up in the arena we'd hardly recognize her. Melissa dressed in a classy and sophisticated outfit and for the first time in a long time carried her head with dignity and pride. Jerry Palmer promised Coates the opportunity to show her

wrestling skills 1 on 1 against a female opponent at Season's Beatings, with no shenanigans. Overall, the fanbase was very responsive to this presumed new direction for Coates.

NWA Anarchy host Greg Hunter opened the card by announcing 7 of the 8 participants named for the Young Lions Contender Tournament. We were informed that we'd be seeing Adrian Hawkins, Bo Newsome, "Do or Die" Chip Day, "The Obsession" Caleb Conley, "2 Hot for TV" Kyle Matthews, "The Wizard of Ahhhhs" Andrew Alexander & the returning "Attraction" Hayden Young all locking horns in a single elimination 8 man tournament to determine who will face Slim J for the Young Lions Championship at Season's Beatings 08, and that the tournament began tonight with our opening bout:

1) Adrian Hawkins defeated "The Obsession" Caleb Konley via pinfall in around 6 minutes to advance to round 2. Both men came into this bout with much to prove. Adrian Hawkins was still stinging from coming up short against Slim J for the title at Fright Night. Hawkins gave it his all in what ended up being quite a memorable bout, but he just couldn't put away the only grand slam winner in NWA Arena history. Now, he's got to start from scratch and work his way past 7 other competitors who want the same thing he does. Caleb Konley being one of those men. Konley is a young man who's quite a skilled grappler, he's just had a string of unfortunate luck. He's been pegged as a potential break out star from his earliest days of being scouted by NWA officials but timing has just not been his ally, therefore he's yet to really clinch that key victory that could propel him to the next level and unfortunately this night was no exception. Hawkins shows more moxy, and with his willingness to cut corners, he's able to find a way around Konley and advance to round 2.

On the NWA Wrestlevision, we see some exclusive locker-room footage of Kyle Matthews & Bo Newsome discussing their potential match-ups in the Young Lions tournament when Andrew Alexander steps in to give his two cents on who they'll all be facing in their round 1 matches. When the topic turns to pondering whom the 8th entry will be, the answer is quickly given as "The Son Of Satan" Azrael and The Rev popped in to let them know that Azrael had accepted the final spot and that they'd all be led to the slaughter. After screaming in each of the young lions face, The Rev led Azrael away to the darkness. At this time Alan Funk stepped in and started to give some veteran advice to Matthews, Newsome & Alexander about dealing with the likes of The Rejects when he apparantly short circuited as we saw shades of the "Kwee Wee" and "Funkster" sides of Funks persona. As Funk left, Alexander commented "I hear he has six plates in his head". The camera pans to the adjacent room where it's obvious a commotion is occuring between Jeremy Vain and Rob Adonis. Both men are placing the blame on the other for not obtaining the Anarchy tag team championship from the New Wave at Fright Night. Vain was in "brown noser" mode, complete with "Property Of Rob Adonis XXL" T Shirt, and accordingly he assures Adoins that everything will be okay and that they'll take matters into their own hands tonight.

2) "The Seven Figure Deal" Ace Rockwell defeated Mike Mosely via pinfall after the Aces High in around 7:30. Rockwell was riding high coming into this bout after becoming the first man to survive a full 5 minutes against "The Butcher Of Pyongyang" Kimo at Fright Night. Mike Mosely certainly proved himself to be no slouch as this 6'6 newcomer showed great potential. He has some devestating power moves and an agility that is quite uncommon of guys with his build. But even with those physical tools, on this eve, they did not match up to the experience, combined with the heart of Ace Rockwell and one mistake later, Mosely found himself knocked loopy by the Aces High while Rockwell got the win. No sooner than Rockwell could raise his arm in victory, Jeff G. Bailey was leading the "Korean Assassin" Kimo down the aisle to attack. After a quick pressure point attack, Rockwell was down in the corner. NWA Anarchy official Wes Grissom warned Bailey to get Kimo under control and attempted to eject both men from ringside and was destroyed for his efforts. Kimo hit the 6 finger punch of death on Grissom and as he was going for the 7th and potentially fatal strike, Rockwell clotheslined Kimo over the top rope and Anarchy Owner Jerry Palmer made his entrance to put a stop to this madness as Grissom lay on the mat apparantly vomiting blood. He reminded Bailey that he'd warned him once about putting his hands on officials and that will no longer be tolerated in NWA Anarchy. He stated and I quote "in whatever language it is you communicate in, you tell him he's suspended for 30 days". This of course did not sit well with the attorney and he had some words for Palmer and our censors will be happy to know that the microphone didn't pick those words up. This prompted Palmer to immediately eject both Kimo & Bailey from ringside under the warning that Kimo would be fired if Bailey uttered another word. The Anarchy medical staff helped Grissom to the locker-room where he was examined and later taken to Habersham Medical Center for further evaluation.

3) NWA Anarchy Tag Team Championship Bout:

Champions: The New Wave (Steven Walters & Derrick Driver) defeated The Dynamic Duo ("Technical Perfection" Chad Parham & "Kool" Seth Delay) via DQ when Jeremy Vain & Mr. Rob Adonis interfered. The Dynamic Duo's Tag Team Turmoil victory at Fright Night earned them this shot against the reigning champions, who were also victorious over Jeremy Vain & Rob Adonis at Fright Night as we'd mentioned earlier. This was a fairly even match up, with the experience advantage going to the Duo, and of course the champions advantage in the favor of New Wave. The Champions dominated early, but some cheap shots allowed the Duo to take over on Steven Walters for an extended period and control the majority of the match, but Walters finally managed to find his corner and fresh partner and Driver cleaned house. Just as The New Wave were about to finish off Chad Parham with a devestating combo move, Jeremy Vain & Rob Adonis hit the ring for the DQ and a 4 on 2 beatdown commenced. The New Wave showed in this very moment just how tough and resourceful they are. Despite the odds they managed to fight back and clear the ring of all 4 of their aggressors. Somewhere during all this, Steven Walters injured his ribs pretty severely but that didn't stop him from fighting until the ring was clear.

4) The returning "Attraction" Hayden Young defeated "Do or Die" Chip Day with the Flying Squirell in round 1 of the Young Lions Contender Tournament in around 8 minutes, advancing to round two. This match featured the unique fast paced action that the we've come to expect in the Young Lion's division. It looked for a moment that Chip Day had Young's number in the bout as Day has been active regularly and Young has been out of the ring for several months. Young's big match experience factor did eventually kick in though, and as the ring rust faded Young proved himself at this particular moment to be the superior athlete and he picked up the win with his signature move, The Flying Squirell.

5) The Technicians (Tyler Smith & Bobby Moore) vs. The Wild Bunch (Billy Buck & Chris King) never even began as they brawled to a no contest immediately. The Wild Bunch showed on this night that they were fed up with the abuse and bullying of The Technicians. Over the past few months, King & Buck have been on the shelf nursing injuries they received at the hands of the Technicians as Smith & Moore began their 2008 arm breaking crusade. Saturday night, they hit the ring like a herd of wild broncos and with no mind for the bell or the referees warnings, simply put, kicked The Technicians asses up one side and down the other all over the NWA Arena. Security and officials finally intervened to pull these two teams off each other and this fans, is why we love professional wrestling in its most simple form. Two teams who hate each other, settling it in the ring with fisticuffs. May the best team win, as I have a feeling we're going to see a whole lot more of this rivalry.

6) NWA Anarchy Young Lions Championship Bout:

Champion "The Real" Slim J successfully retained by defeating JT Talent (with Drew Pendleton III) via pinfall after hitting the Detox Driver in around 11 minutes. We are well aware by now that anytime The Young Lions Champion Slim J is in action we are in for an exciting bout. What we didn't expect was just how exciting this match up ended up being. JT Talent, for all his personality flaws and trouble making, really showed what he's made of against a proven veteran in this contest, and while he didn't take home the win, the knot on his head that he took instead will serve to him as a reminder in the future just what he may be capable of accomplishing. Pendleton of course liberally interfered but his specialty is fighting in the ring as the regular tag partner of Talent and not as a manager, and considering Slim J has battled tactical masters on the outside like Bailey & The Rev for years, he was ready for the tricks Pendleton had up his sleeve. One mistake too many by Talent allowed Slim J to hit the Detox Driver, and successfully retain his gold.

- NWA Anarchy host Greg Hunter invited "The People's Champ" Shadow Jackson into the ring for an exclusive interview and announcement. Jackson received the ear splitting ovation that we've grown accustomed to. Greg had the pleasure of letting Shadow and the rest of the world know that due to gaining the pinfall over NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Champion Iceberg in the Trick or Treat tag team match at Fright Night 2008, Shadow Jackson has been named the #1 contender to the NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Championship and will face the champion Iceberg at Season's Beatings 2008 on December 20th, for the title. Greg also informed us, however, that the NWA Championship Committee has made this match a 3 way dance, and before he could get any further, Jeff G. Bailey returned to ringside, this time with the "Universal Soldier" Phil Shatter, with the claim that Shatter deserves the final spot in the 3 way dance. Mikal Judas then entered interupting Bailey and a fight broke out between Judas and Shatter. After the situation was brought under control, Hunter then made the announcement that on November 29th in one of our featured main events, two of the biggest and baddest men in the NWA will face off for the final spot in the championship bout at Season's Beatings as "The Universal Soldier" Phil Shatter with Jeff G. Bailey takes on "The Priest Of Punishment" Mikal Judas.

7) The Devil's Rejects (NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Champion: Iceberg, "The Son Of Satan" Azrael & "The Sleeper Cell" Shaun Tempers) with The Reverend defeated "Merciless" Don Matthews & Culture Shock (Lane Norris & "Outlaw" Ben Woods) via pinfall in around 10 minutes when Iceberg pinned Matthews with a belly to belly suplex. This was certainly the biggest in ring test to date for the team of Culture Shock as they locked horns with the self proclaimed "Lords Of Chaos", one of the most dominating factions in Anarchy history. All things considered, they didn't do half bad. Both men went toe to toe with various Rejects members during the bout and they put up quite a fight. Don Matthews knows what its like to face the The Rejects as he's gone toe to toe with Iceberg once in the past. The Rejects zeroed in on the smallest man in the match, but by no means a small man in Lane Norris and isolated him. The Rejects had set up an illegal assault with the Staff Of Righteousness as The Rev got referee Ken Wallace's attention and Iceberg tossed Tempers the staff. Again, Shaun Tempers refused to break the rules, thinking about it for a moment, but ultimately dropping the staff and going to a clean attack, much to the rest of the Rejects dismay. This hesitation, while perhaps courageous, cost Tempers dearly as Norris had time to recover and make the tag and Don Matthews came in guns blazing, hitting the lariat on anything in sight. When the ring cleared it came down to Matthews & Iceberg. Matthews hit the BFK on the champion and was winding up for the lariat when "The Allstar" Jay Clinton came to ringside. He only got Don's attention for a few split seconds, but that was enough for the Anarchy Heavyweight Champion to pounce, as Iceberg hit the belly to belly for the 1, 2, 3.

- We thought the event had come to a close when The Reverend grabbed the mic and called Shaun Tempers back into the ring, and stated that he needed a word with him. The Rev proceeded to verbally abuse Tempers over what happened at Fright Night, stating that they had a plan and it was very simple and somewhere along the way, Tempers stopped following the plan and it cost him. Now if that wasn't bad enough, he refused to follow the plan tonight and had it not been for Iceberg, they'd have been defeated by a team that had no business defeating them. He accused Tempers of believing his own hype, stating that he plucked him from tag team obscurity and made him a superstar, and that's how he repays him? The Rev then slapped the taste out of Tempers mouth, and told him to get in line and they could forget all about this embarassment. Tempers thought about it for a moment, and KNOCKED THE REVEREND OUT COLD! This of course meant an immediate attack by his now former associates Iceberg and Azrael on Tempers and The Rejects beat their former "brother" to a pulp. After hitting two ground zero splashes and signalling for a potentially career threatening 3rd, the most unlikely of saviors hit the ring in the form of the Television Champion, and Tempers arch rival Truitt Fields.Fields tossed Azrael, hit the Killing Fields on Iceberg and immediately tended to Shaun Tempers well being as the Anarchy medical staff came to his attention. In a shocking moment, the event came to a close with Fields helping a beaten and both mentally and physically broken Shaun Tempers to his feet.

Notes: NWA Anarchy returns to the NWA Arena on November 29th with a special holiday charity event. That event will be headlined by the colossal encounter between "The Priest Of Punishment" Mikal Judas and "The Universal Solider" Phil Shatter with Jeff G. Bailey with the winner joining Shadow Jackson and NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Champion Iceberg in a 3 way dance for the Anarchy title at Season's Beatings 08 on December 20th. That event will also feature a special Mega Rumble in which the fans in attendance will draw the order of the entrys, and I'm told there may even be a few special suprise guests in said Mega Rumble. One would half to also think that we'll be seeing the remainder of Round 1 in the Young Lions Contender tournament as well.

NWA Anarchy TV Report by Ca$hFlowX
Episode 141
October 27, 2008 WRESTLING: (n.) \’res-ling\ A sport of contest in which two individuals face off in unarmed combat.

This week on NWA Anarchy, Ace Rockwell counteracts the Dynamic Duo by teaming with Chad Parham's old tag partner Luke Hawx, and Mr. Adonis challenges Truitt Fields for the NWA Anarchy TV Title.

1. "NWA Anarchy's Whipping Boy" TK Kross defeated "Kurtis Blow's Favorite Wrestler" Kareem Abdul Jamar and Anthony "Don't Call Me Mark" Henry and Chris "Young Lion's" Mayne. Only old school hip hop fans will understand my humor surrounding Jamar. This opening contest features talent from the new Young Lion's division and is nearly impossible to keep up with. Kross wins with the tiger suplex on Henry.

2. "Straight to VCR" Jeff Lewis & "Some Random Jobber" Jay Clinton defeated "Merciless" Don Matthews & Bo "Knows This, Bo Knows That, Bo Knows How to Wrestle, but Bo Can't Rap" Newsome.

This match is joined in progress. Wow, everything seems choppy this far: no recap of last week's episode featuring the major standoff between Shadow Jackson and Iceberg, an opener that probably should have served as a dark match and a match joined in progress. Okay, so I've trashed everyone involved with the editing process. Bad Ca$hflow, bad Ca$hflow. Down, boy! Clinton certainly has formed an alliance with Lewis and demonstrates his new found wealth of knowledge by working over Newsome's knee. Newsome channels Rick Rude and makes the hot tag. Matthews destroys Clinton with Lewis in no hurry to be sent straight to VCR. So he waits in hiding, makes the blind tag and pulls the wool over Matthews' eyes with a roll-up. Afterwards, Clinton gloats by performing the Jarrett Strut. Matthews makes him pay with the Lariat of DOOM~! Fun ending.

3. Malachi pinned Kaleb "Who Needs Sex" Conley.

These joined in progress matches are beginning to unravel my nerves. A short video package would have sufficed for this segment. Malachi garners the victory by countering a rana with a powerbomb. Afterwards, the Law Offices of Talent & Money (JT Talent & Andrew Pendleton III) head out to scorn their fellow partner for losing to known enhancement talent. Sigh, Talent & Money without Sex is like a breast without a nipple, it just ain't right. This immediately turns into a beatdown of Conley. Johnson comments, "Who needs Sex anyway?" Well, Sex is one of the essentials! DUH~! Malachi makes the save.

- "The Master of Ceremonial Disasters" Greg Hunter heads out to interview the new NWA Anarchy Tag Team Champions the New Wave. The last time Hunter interviewed anyone was the New Wave. Hunter upheld his reputation by having Bailey rambling about how awesome the NWA Elite are to only have them get embarrassed by the New Wave. Hunter runs down the list of opponents they have defeated which sounds like a who's who of tag teams in NWA Anarchy. The New Wave act the old school humble babyfaces until Talent & Money proclaims themselves a real tag team. Then all comers head out to answer the challenge, the Friday Night Franchise, the Technicians, the Big Time Playaz, the Hollywood Brunettes and the Real NWA Elite. Oh, wait a minute, it is the real NWA Elite... Bill Behrens himself. Behrens orders the New Wave to the back and books a battle royal with the last team standing earning themselves a title shot. I can live with that.

4. The Technicians (Bob E & Tyler Smith) won a seven team battle royal to become the #1 contender to the NWA Anarchy Tag Team Titles.

ELIMINATION #1: Friday Night Franchise (Ryan Michaels & Matt "Sex" Sells) by the Big Time Playaz (Scott "Spuds" McKenzie & Danny Matthews).
ELIMINATION #2: Big Time Playaz by numerous individuals.
ELIMINATION #3: Talent & Money (JT Talent & Andrew Pendleton III) by the Hollywood Brunettes ("2 Hot 4 TV" Kyle Matthews & "the Wizard of Aaaaaaaahs" Andrew Alexander) with an assist from Kaleb Conley & Malachi. Major pop from the crowd for that elimination.

This is where it gets really stupid, every referee has their back turned to the ring while the Hollywood Brunettes eliminates both Technicians. It's 2008 and if the referee's don't know by now what is going on in the ring when everyone else does, it exposes them as boneheaded incompetent dumb ass nitwits. This is one of the reasons why my students watch MMA instead of pro wrestling. I've seen fans turn sour on many a show on finishes like that one. d**n, I'm doing a lot of pregnant dog slapping this week.

ELIMINATION #4: The Brunettes via the archaic decrepit Dusty Finish™. (d**n, I am really bashing management this week.)

5. "0% Body Fat" Truitt Fields pinned "the Lord of Manipulative Tactics" Jeremy Vain w/Mr. Rob Adonis to retain the NWA Anarchy TV Title.

A couple of weeks ago, Vain played a game of Medical Chicken™ and sent Mr. Adonis in as his replacement. Vain squirrels his way into a title shot via role reversal. Vain plays the role of Larry Zbyszko by taking a beating until Fields makes a mistake by posting his shoulder on a corner charge. Mr. Adonis displays his admiration after a Vain flapjack on Fields' shoulder. Vain spends the next several minutes maintaining the advantage by working over Fields' shoulder. Fields finally buys himself time with a 360 monkey flip on Vain. Vain earns special points for making that face bump look like a million bucks. Fields fights back with a gorilla press slam, but continues to sell his bad arm. Seven minutes into the match, Vain sends Fields flying to the Arena floor by kicking out of roll-up. Mr. Adonis walks away from Fields. In the ring, Fields wins with a slingshot Sunset flip. Looks like Vain's plans were foiled once again. Afterwards, Vain scorns Mr. Adonis for supposedly not doing his job. With the evil duo gone, a more evil duo makes an appearance, "the Reverend" Dan Wilson and Shaun Tempers. Actually, that is a trio of evil if you count the Staff of Righteousness. Wilson announces his new agenda: the best technical wrestler in the Devil's Rejects has set his sights on the TV title. Guess what? He's going to do the things the honest way... You mean a Reject is honest? That's a new one on me. After climbing the ladder of contenders, Tempers will defeat the pretty old abs of Truitt Fields.

6. The Dynamic Duo ("the Caped Crusader" Chad Parham & "Boy Wonder" Seth Delay) defeated "The Seven Figured Deal" Ace Rockwell & "Altar Boy" Luke Hawx.

The former tag team champs exchange nice pleasantries by shaking hands early on. I call shenanigans. It was. This starts out as a battle of scientific wrestling. Seems innocent enough until Parham tags in Delay. Delay becomes the victim of a double team assault by Hawx and Rockwell. They send Parham to the floor and then backdrop Delay onto Parham. Thump! If Parham & Delay are the Dynamic Duo, I would hate to see how bad the Wonder Twins are. After commercial, Hunter announces that NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Champion "the No Pain Murder Train" and "Professional Wrestling's Only Serial Killer" Iceberg will defend against Shadow Jackson in a battle of the super heavyweights of NWA Anarchy. Parham takes advantage of a missed Rockwell Stinger splash with a leaping knee from the apron. (Notice to newbie wrestlers: notice how Parham slapped his knee to make the move seem more damaging.) Delay tags out to Numero Uno. The heels maintain the advantage on Rockwell using dastardly dynamic heel tactics. Johnson gives his props to Rockwell for having heart and determination and Hawx has been threw his wars, but never mentions the punch line. Parham prevents a leaping hot tag by Rockwell. Delay showboats and misses a second rope moonsault. Hawx receives the hot tag and battles his former tag partner. Hawx easily counters a diving Delay with an exploder suplex. This breaks down rather quickly with Parham careening Hawx' head off the middle turnbuckle and Rockwell sending Delay to the floor. The referee escorts Rockwell to his corner. With the referee distracted, Parham lands right on Hawx's knees while performing his patented senton. Ouch, that was painful to even look at. With Rockwell continuing to argue with the referee, Delay brandishes his patented specially plated brass knux and clobbers Hawx with them. Parham cradle piledrives Hawx for the victory. Score one for the Caped Crusader & Boy Wonder. Now that was good old clean wholesome fun.

OVERALL: This episode kicked into high gear once all JIP matches took place. There was way too many matches by Anarchy's standards and hurt the overall product. However, the last two matches saved the show. Please, no more JIP matches when a short video package or short skit is better.

The opening match was great tag team action in a Tag Team Title Match. Chip Day & Kyle Matthews were great challengers but the Champions Simon Sermon & Thomas Britain retained the titles by winning the match. Time is growing short as the tag team champs threaten to take the titles with them when their contract is up in 2 more weeks unless their demands are met.

Jimmy Rave was victorious over Josh Stone in the second match.

In the 3rd match Killer Instinct, "The Real Deal" Jake Slater & Mean Mike Stratus, reunited as a tag team to take on the amazing tag team of Frankie Valentine & Ace Rockwell. Valentine & Rockwell won the match with some amazing moves and holds, but after the match Sonny Siaki once again invaded the arena and attacked Rockwell leaving him lying in a heap and then disappearing again. It took several people to help Rockwell out of the arena.

In the 4th match, Sal Rinauro was the winner over Bulldog Raines, thanks to some outside help from Colt Derringer. Raines & Derringer will not let up on each other.

There was not a clear winner in the match that pitted Micah Taylor against Colt Derringer. The match ended when Sonny Siaki once again bolted into the ring and grabbed Taylor's wife Tracy by the neck. He threatened to break Tracy's neck if the show was not shut down right now. David Young came to the ring but was held back by Siaki's threats to harm Tracy Taylor. Ultimately, David Young convinced Siaki to settle this feud in the ring on the 28th. Knowing that Siaki is crazy enough to do anything, a match was set for the 28th between David Young and Sonny Siaki with the stipulation that if Siaki wins, NWA Prime Time will close its doors and Siaki's allegiance to GCW will be rewarded. If Siaki loses the match he agreed to go back across the river and stay.

In the main event, Bad Company's David Young & Chris Stevens defeated 2 heavyweight champions. Deathrow is the current reigning heavyweight champ of NWA Prime Time, and his tag team partner, Iceberg, is the current reigning champ of NWA Anarchy. Ultimately, Deathrow & Iceberg defeated themselves when Iceberg attempted to throw some type of powder into the eyes of David Young, but Young ducked and Iceberg hit his own partner Deathrow in the eyes. Iceberg went to check on his partner but being blinded by the powder, Deathrow thought it was an opponent and put a devastating choke slam on Iceberg who then got pinned. After Young & Stevens left the ring, Iceberg and Deathrow began to slap each other around blaming each other for the loss. These 2 men are both huge monsters and they need to settle their differences before their match for the tag titles on the 28th.

OFFICIAL RESULTS

"First Klass" Brandon K def. Patrick Hayes

At stake in this match was a shot at Brandon K & Sterling James Keenan's NWA North American Tag Team Titles. Constant interference from Hayes' manager Krystal Frost frustrated K to the point where he had enough. Frost slid into the ring and attempted a swinging DDT, but K blocked and dropped her with a K Driver! But Hayes capitalized and went for the Frog Splash, but K moved and that spelled disaster for Hayes!

The Franchise Players (Jon Kronica & Robert Beverly) def. Chris LeRusso in a handicap match

Before the show, the Franchise Players challenged anybody in NWA East to a match. Their challenge was answered by Chris LeRusso, who took on the duo in a handicap match. LeRusso tried his best, but the 2-on-1 odds were not in his favor, and Kronica & Beverly picked up their first win in NWA East with the Instant Replay since being "future endeavored" several months ago.

NWA East Three Rivers Champion "Division 1" James Ross def. Gregory Iron, Apollyon, and "Syko" Sean Dahmer in a 4-way elimination match

Gregory Iron put on the performance of a lifetime, taking an incredible beating from the other three competitors in the match. The Straight Jacket Mafia took turns beating down the young star, who is no stranger to adversity. But he was able to eliminate both members of the longest reigning NWA East Tag Team Champions in history. But the Three Rivers Champ, hoping to leave with his teammates Gash, Doe, and Mantis to go "10 minutes up the road" to another promotion, took advantage of Iron's weakened condition, and moved in with an attack, ending in the Game Over.

NWA National Champion Crusher Hansen def. Blue Dragon

Blue Dragon faced tough competition in the biggest match of his career. This was his first shot at the NWA National Championship, and the champion Crusher Hansen did not make it easy for him. Camp Crusher was on the floor, blatantly interfering on behalf of the champ, along with his ever-present, ever-annoying manager Benjamin C. Steele. But just when it looked like Dragon would overcome the odds, his "indentured servant" Stacy Hunter walloped him with a street sign, allowing Hansen to latch in the Iron Claw, leading to another pinfall victory for the champion. But Hunter would get her come-uppance later in the night.

The French Ticklers (Nasty Nick Crane & Lord Zoltan) def. Devin Devine & Dash Bennett

Pittsburgh wrestling legends Lord Zoltan & Nasty Nick were faced with a tag team challenge from Dash Bennett & Devin Devine. Both teams use a very old-school style in the ring, and neither are afraid to bend the rules when necessary. Those tactics came into play as the Ticklers' manager Mayor Mystery got involved with his cane. Devine tried grabbing the cane to use it himself, but referee Tom Dunn caught him, kicked the cane away, allowing Zoltan to roll Devine up for the win! After the match, however, Devine once again attacked the victor, destroying Nasty Nick with a Memphis Piledriver!

Chris Taylor def. Shirley Doe in Match 2 of the Best of 3 Series

In one of the most hotly contested matches this year in NWA East, Shirley Doe fell to Chris Taylor in the second match of the Best of 3 Series between Team Gash & Team NWA East. Doe and Taylor each delivered their finishing maneuvers to each other, Doe hitting the Sillyhead 2 while Taylor hit the Taylor Cutter. But neither man would stay down for three. It took a 2nd-rope assisted Taylor Cutter to keep Doe down for the 3, sending the Best of 3 Series into the third and final match. If Scottie Gash can defeat Sterling James Keenan on December 13th, he, Doe, Ross, and Mantis will leave NWA East for a promotion "10 minutes up the road", signing their new contracts on their NWA East title belts, and NWA East promoter Jim Miller will retire from wrestling, leaving NWA East in disarray. If SJK wins, Gash and company will be forced to sign new NWA East contracts, including non-compete clauses, forbidding them from leaving the company to wrestle elsewhere.

Blue Dragon & Stacy Hunter came to the ring and Dragon proclaimed that he no longer wanted the services of his "indentured servant" Hunter at ringside, and fired her with a Belly To Blue Suplex! But he was then attacked by two of Hunter's former charges Dash Bennett & Devin Devine. Devine leveled Dragon with a Memphis Piledriver, leaving him down and hurt in the ring..

NWA East Heavyweight Champion "The Spotlight" Scottie Gash def. "Mantis" Brandon K

Gash was set to take on his teammate "Mantis" Bobby Williams. Brandon K claimed at Dead Calm 2 at the beginning of November that if Gash and Mantis would not wrestle each other in a serious match, K would find any way he could to interject himself into the match. Before Mantis could come to the ring, he was attacked by K in the back, who then stole the Mantis mask and wore it to the ring, taking Mantis' place! Gash and K took the fight to one another. K got the upper hand in the contest, but his recent nemesis, Crusher Hansen, came to ringside, distracting K, allowing Gash to score the victory.

Brandon once again challenged Hansen to defend his NWA National Title against him, but Hansen once again refused, claiming K never made him tap out officially in a match. K locked Hansen in an ankle lock as NWA East Championship Committee member and longtime NWA East referee Shawn Patrick hit the ring, calling for the bell as Hansen tapped out!

Elliot Sexton defeated Jimmy Scarlet & The Golden Aztec

It was an excellent opening match with Sexton intro music being beverly hills 90210, he plays a gay character slightly beetter than Street. The match was a flippy flippy match, in the end The Golden Aztec hitting the top rope move(the 1 Brock Freeman used to do) on Jimmy Scarlet then Sexton throwing Zztec out the ring to sneak the victory...

Devlin Reeves w/'Slick' Rick Sanders defeated Cletus Blood
The match was a good back and forth battle which saw rick using POWDER IN THE EYES to distract Cletus to allow Devlin to use the package piledriver to pick up the win

Grudge Match
Carlo Cannon defeated J-Rock
highly entertaining match which featured a dance off between the two, apparently J rock lost there first encounter and dance off at the start of the year and was looking for revenge...

Best of the Best
Mikey Nicholls defeated Slex
again we were the only people to cheer Mikey, Slex does look like Jimmy Payne if Jimmy was 5 feet tall..Mikey Took the top turnbuckle off and threw it all the way thru the curtain causing the ref to chase it and he eventually used the ropes to get the win

The Graham Brothers defeated Dick & Balls
The match was okay, the end saw some fat guy in a ski mask attack the Graham Brothers then Ryan "Bones" Malone coming out a few high risk moves and the Graham Brothers picked up the win

Knightmare Challenge
Chris Knight & Rohan defeated Robby Heart & Mark Aiston
Chris Knight is fn huge, he was basically destroying Heart and Aiston, the ending saw Knight and Rohan pick up the win when Rohan used a singapore cane on Robby, after the match Robby used the cane on Knight and Rohan then Aiston sc stunning Rohan...

Fatal 4-Way TLC Match for the NWA Australian National Championship
Jayson Cooper defeated Damian Slater, Bruce 'Havok' Mills & 'Jag' Hartley Jackson to become the new NWA Australian National Champion

The match started with a ladder in the middle of the ring and all 4 competitiors outside waiting for the 10 count, then it was absolute mayhem, plenty of tables, ladders and chairs being used to inflict serious amounts of damage which saw Jag and Cooper heads cut open.. the ending was 2 ladders in the ring Jag and Havok on 1 and Cooper and Slater on the other, Havok and Jag where pushed off the ladder onto 4 tables stacked next to the ring, then Slater and Cooper fighting for the belt, Cooper punched Slater and Slater fell back with his legs tangled in the ladder allowing Cooper to grab the belt...

November to Remember
American Legion Post 19
Orlando, FL

Spokesperson Steve Michaels welcomes the crowd. Rico Moon and DJ Jeff interrupt and demand Commissioner Lee Douglas explain his latest stipulation added to their match. Lee comes out and explains the rules to the special Tag Match. Rico and Jeff vow to end the careers of Lee Douglas and Rico Casanova tonight!

Match One: Deathrow Jethro VS Afro Boy
Winner - Afro Boy
Afro Boy make big debut for SACW!

Match Two: Jeddust VS TJ Time
Winner - TJ Time

Uncle Jed delirious that he is some reinvented version of Golddust as "Jeddust". He painted his face and spray painted his clothes gold!! He is beaten by former student TJ Time and humiliated.

Match Three: Ethan Icon VS Manson
Winner - Ethan Icon

This was supposed to be the Ego VS Ego match with Ethan facing Brandon Groom. Ethan accuses Brandon of being scared!! Instead Manson volunteered to step in. These guys were gentlemen opponents throughout the match which is a far cry from Manson's normal tactics. Ethan gets the win and they shake hands. They announce they are forming a new tag team and Manson is no longer partners with Rico Moon!! Moon comes to the ring furious but to no avail. Manson will now be known as Bryan Maddox....he leaves the Root Of All Evil behind!! Control of SACW Tag Team Grudge Match
Match Four: DJ Jeff/Rico Moon VS Lee Douglas/Rico Casanova
Winners - Lee Douglas/Rico Casanova

After two years of battling against each other for control and ownership of SACW, years of feuds between Rico Moon, Lee Douglas, and Rico Casanova......it all comes to an end with this match!!! NO DQ and basically no rules!!! At first DJ Jeff and Moon seem to be in control and headed for a vicory. They pull out all the stops with constant underhanded cheating tactics. Finally, as they are double-teaming against Rico Casanova in what appears to be a sure victory, Lee Douglas pulls a trick of his own. He knocks out both DJ Jeff and Moon by smashing/breaking a large glass from the bar over both their heads!!! Lee and Casanova roll them up for the double pinfall and win TOTAL ownership and control of SACW!!!!! INTERMISSION:
TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH
Match Five: SWAT Patrol VS Casanova Cartel - 13th Street Posse
Winners - SWAT Patrol

Rico Casanova is represented tonight by two different members of the cartel. However, they are unable to derail the determination and desire of the SWAT Patrol who become the new SACW Tag Team Champions.

DOUBLE MAIN EVENT
Heavyweight Championship Match - Texas Death Match Rules
Match Six: Bobby Bonecrusher-Champion VS Pretty Boy Lloyd
Winner - Bobby Bonecrusher

In an exciting back and forth brawl with both men scoring a couple of pinfalls Bobby Bonecrusher retains his title. Rico Casanova was the special referee for this match. In a fifth and final countdown both men appear to get up before the 10 count but while Rico's back is turned Jeddust pulls Pretty Boy Lloyd back down to the canvas. Rico doesn't see the interference and assumes Pretty Boy Lloyd is down for the 10 count declaring Bobby the winner. The crowd is screaming to Rico about the interference. Commissioner Lee Douglas comes to the ring and promises a review of the tape. Rico Casanova is able to name Bobby's next opponent ..........Rico names himself!!!! Pretty Boy Lloyd furious and demands a hearing on the matter with the SACW Board!!! X Division Grudge Match
Match Seven: Gus Money VS Reverend Rouge
Winner - Gus Money

In a heated grudge match these two men tried to out manuever each other in the usual high-flying X division style. Rouge in his newest reinvention of his character seemed more focused and controlled. However, the young and upcoming star Gus Money proved to be too much for the veteran Rouge. Hats off to both men for an excellent match!!

Bullet Points:

Jeddust a buffoon and psycho!!

SWAT Patrol NEW Tag Team Champions

Manson leaves Root of All Evil! Joins forces with Ethan Icon

Afro Boy makes big splash in SACW debut!!

Lee Douglas and Rico Casanova take total control of SACW!!!!

Is this the end of DJ Jeff and J&J Inc. ??????

NWA Main Event – Episode 32 By Layy Goodman
Airing November 8, 2008 in Nashville on ION affiliate
Taped November 2, 2008 in LaVergne, Tn at the HWA Arena

Opening with a promo from Ricky Syks, who has been converted from the New York Gangster to New York Rocker. Same look. He’s now a singles wrestler and he’s going straight to the top.

Jason James and Tyler Clemmons on commentary for the first NWA ME show taped in LaVergne.

1 – LARRY COOTER & BRYAN CASEY vs. “Playboy” SCOTT HAYES & “New York Rocker” RICKY SYKS

Cooter used a low blow to start the heat on Syks. They worked over his arm. A cross armbreaker was treated like just another hold. Geez. Double flying clothesline. Casey and Syks down and tagging. House cleaning by Hayes. Cooter went for a pumphandle slam, and Hayes countered with an O’Connor Roll, which was a major improvement on the version he beat Daniels with last week.

WINNERS: Hayes & Syks in 7:10. OK I guess. I just can’t buy Syks as a babyface, and Casey has zero heel presence. The best thing about it was Hayes’ fast and furious work with the hot tag.

Hayes cut a totally average promo for his match against Jeff Daniels Tuesday night at the Nashville Fairgrounds with two referees.

Promo by “Mean” Mike Woods. He was sick of Shank Barzini’s excuses for not showing up because they had unfinished business.

2 – “Mean" MIKE WOODS vs. “The Internet’s Favorite Wrestler” WHITE TIGER

They established this was man vs. boy. Woods spinebustered the bejeezus out of Tiger. Tiger capitalized on a missed elbow drop by raining down a bazillion weak blows on Woods, who ended the uprising with two punches from his knees. Awesome. Tiger made a last gasp comeback where he decked Woods with a dropkick and missed with the world’s worst looking frogsplash. Woods smoked him with Clothesline from Hell for the pin.

WINNER: Woods in 4:45. Perversely entertaining. Tiger’s offense is pathetic but he does writhing in agony with the best of them.

Tennessee Homecoming 2008 at the Nashville Fairgrounds on Thanksgiving Night featuring a two ring battle royal as the main event AND a major announcement from Commissioner George Gulas was yet to come.

Jeff Daniels (with Dominique). He was pissed about Gulas ordering two refs for his title defense Tuesday night. Daniels and said Hayes would pay for Gulas’ sins.

3 -- NWA Mid America Heavyweight Champion JEFF DANIELS (with Domique) vs. DYRON FLYNN

Daniels toyed with Flynn, but he got a lot of offense on the champion. It wouldn’t be a Daniels match unless Dominique interfered so James could call her “that little she devil.” Flynn actually had the champ pinned with a sunset flip, but Dominique had the ref (son Jamie but they didn’t make a point of it) distracted. We had to watch Flynn’s belly shake as he delivered the 10 Horrible Punches of Doom. Daniels used an Emerald Frosien as his finisher.

WINNER: Daniels in 7:30 but it seemed to last forever. A ridiculous match. Flynn is way too green to last that long with the champion. I can only assume that Daniels decided to give Flynn his next wrestling lesson on TV.

4 -- ”Magnum” SHANE SMALLS vs. AIDEN SCOTT

James mentioned that Scott and Smalls wrestled each other on one of those brutally bad shows shot at the Tennessee State Fair. Scott landed a wicked dropkick to the side of the head that sent Smalls out of the ring. Smalls countered one of Scott’s aerial maneuvers with a powerbomb, and went into ruthless aggression mode. Finish saw Smalls miss on a springboard twisting crossbody. Scott went up top and got dumped by Chris Cain to set up the pin.

WINNER: Smalls in 5:40. There were some rough spots, but this match was a breath of fresh air after the Daniels/Flynn debacle. Smalls is a kick ass worker.

Promo by Cain and Smalls for their tag match against Scott & Steve-O Tuesday night.

5 -- NWA Mid America Television Title Match: Champion STEVE-O vs. “Colossal” CHRIS CAIN

Back and forth chain wrestling until Cain dropkicked O’s bum knee. Cain used a half crab. O countered a fisherman suplex with a small package. Cain taunted O and continued his assault on O’s legs. Clemmons said Cain was disabling O’s superkick. At 9:00, O hit a desperation enzuirgiri. Comeback time. Cain kicked out of O’s neckbreaker. A ref bump occurred off camera. Visual fall for O with a sunset flip. Cain used ye olde Tennessee Chain on O. Cover. Ferrari stopped the count at one and Cain got up. Time stood still before Scott attacked Cain. Smalls attacked Scott. Ferrari called for the bell. Scott and O cleared the ring with a double dropkick.

WINNER: O retains the TV Title via DQ at 11:30 due to outside interference. Decent match. Strange finish. I’m guessing they had to improvise because Scott was late with the run-in. O did a good job selling the legs.

Promo by O and Scott for Tuesday night. O said they needed to watch each other’s backs.

Closing Thoughts: Geez, was I wrong about new venue being an improvement over the Fairgrounds for television. That plasticized ring covering screams minor league, and all the empty chairs looked terrible on camera. The commentary continues to be a bright spot. James and Clemmons do a nice job of swapping roles between color and play-by-play. NWA Main Event is really struggling right now because their roster is so thin. Again, no mention of J.P. Lightning, as Main Event's most interesting story has suddnely evaporated. Snake Jones is gone, so out of the blue, they’ve got Chaming Charles managing Shank Barzini against Woods for the Fairgrounds show. Scott is a promising cruiserweight, but when a guy that green is your #3 babyface, it’s not a good sign. I’m afraid fans are going to be sick of seeing these guys by the time they get to the Thanksgiving show, and adding a battle royal main event does nothing for me. I like the “be careful what you whine about” angle of the two referee stipulation, but it could really stand a recap of Daniels’ escapades before the match with Hayes airs. Daniels match was a great example of how to devalue your heavyweight title. Fine to do a deal where the heel toys with the rookie. Squash the guy and then refuse to make the pin until Hayes runs in. I wish I could say they made the most of a bad situation with this show, but it felt more like they made a bad situation worse.
